How to host a static site in netlify

Hi everyone, Today I will share you about netlify and tell you how to host a static website in netlify.


Netlify is a cloud computing infrastructure that offers hosting and server-less services for static websites. The best platform in market. It gives much speed and User’s satisfaction. And it can also have numerous users much needed API’s. For example: Form services. Netlify provide the form services, you can insert or call that inbuilt applications inside your webpage. Mainly everyone uses netlify for hosting their static websites. I will tell you how to do that.

STEP 1: Usually open your browser and search Netlify.

STEP 2: You will be redirected to Once it gets loaded the screen will look like this.

STEP 3: Afterwards click signup to create an account in netlify.

You are subjected to create an account by using one of the services like GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket and Email. Here I go with GitHub (Signup -> Sign up with GitHub).

STEP 4: Once you completed your account and team setup steps, your screen will look like this.

Step 5: Yes, now you are ready to host your static websites. The dashboard will look like this.

Step 6: Just drag and drop your entire source folder for your website.

Step 7: Once drag and drop your source folder, wait for 30–40 seconds. The site will get published. The status of your site will be set to “Published”.

Step 8: Once your site published, netlify provide random domain for your site along with extension. You can able to edit or add custom domain for your site. For that click site settings above your production deploys box.

Step 9: Then, You can change your site name by clicking change site name.

If you want to add custom domain to your site just configure your domain under domain settings.

Step 10

Finally, your website is deployed.
